DAY 01: ARRIVE IN DELHI
  • Upon arrival at Delhi International Airport you will be met by our representative. You will be transferred to the hotel by private vehicle. Check- in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Delhi.

     


Day 02: FULL DAY SIGHTSEEING OF DELHI
  • After breakfast, you begin your tour of the Delhi. Start with a drive through the wide avenues of Lutyen’s Delhi. You pass some of India’s most iconic building on this drive; India Gate, the stately memorial built for the Unknown Soldier, the Parliament Houses, and the grandest building of them all, Rashtrapathi Bhavan (President’ House).
  • Your drive leads you toward Old Delhi- pulsating with energy and colour, the hustle and bustle of thronged bazaars and laced by a maze of narrow lanes which twists and turns between tall, leaning houses full of sights, sounds and aromas of the Indian sub-continent.
  • You disembark here at the Jama Masjid. This is India’s largest mosque and the last architectural triumph of Shah Jehan.
  • This afternoon you drive to Humayun’s Tomb, the first of garden-tomb concept built by Mughal dynasty that later on became inspiration for building of several monuments including the Taj Mahal. Take a walk in the gardens of this grand monument, where ancient trees and broken ruins pose as lush adornments to the sandstone glow of the mausoleum. Also visit Qutub Minar, one of the finest Islamic structures ever raised in India. Once the defining landmark of Delhi, it is still standing tall with its graceful lines and staggering height, as well as the many monuments in the complex surrounding.
  • Return to your hotel by evening.

Day 03: DELHI – AGRA (230 K.M. APPROX. 4½ HRS.)
  • After breakfast, you drive to Agra. It is a comfortable drive on the new expressway and there are good rest stops en route.
  • In Agra you transfer directly to visit Taj Mahal.
  • The monument was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1560 in loving memory of his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. 20,000 workers from all over Asia toiled 20 years to create this masterpiece. ‘A tear on the cheek of humanity’ is how Nobel poet laureate Rabindranath Tagore described this tomb.
    • Note: The Taj Mahal remains closed on Fridays
  • Visit Itmad-ud-daula tomb. It has a special place in the chronicles of both history as well as architecture. This is precisely because Itmad ud Daula is the very first tomb in India that is entirely made out of Marble.
  • After Taj you will stop at the mighty Agra Fort.
  • With the Taj Mahal overshadowing it, one can easily forget that Agra has one of the finest Mughal forts in India. Construction of the massive red-sandstone fort, on the bank of the Yamuna River, was begun by Emperor Akbar in 1565.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Agra.
 
Day 04: AGRA- JAIPUR (240 K.M. APPROX. 4½ HRS.)
  • After breakfast check-out from the hotel and proceed for Jaipur by private vehicle (240 km, 4hrs approx) en-route visit Fatehpur Sikri. This deserted city was built by Emperor Akbar in 1569, in honour of the great Saint Sheikh Salim Chisti. Akbar used Fatehpur Sikri as his capital for 14 years. Scarcity of water was the prime factor for the abandonment of this beautiful city.
  • At evening explore the colorful market and have dinner at Choki Dhani, a Rajasthani village theme resort.

Day 05:
  • In morning after breakfast check- out from the hotel and proceed for the sightseeing of :-
  • Amer Fort- Amer fort was built with red sandstone and white sandstone. The fort still stands as a grand example of ancient Indian architecture. It is known for its blend of Rajput and Hindu style of architecture and mixture of Hindu and Muslim style of ornamentation. enjoy an elephant ride at Amer Fort.
  • City Palace- A complex of courtyards, gardens and buildings, the impressive City Palace is right in the centre of the Old City. It is a striking blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture.
  • Hawa Mahal- Jaipur’s most distinctive landmark, the Hawa Mahal is an extraordinary pink-painted delicately honeycombed hive that rises a dizzying five storeys. It was constructed in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh to enable ladies of the royal household to watch the life and processions of the city.
  • Albert Hall Museum- The Central Museum, sited amid the gardens of Ram Niwas  Bagh in Jaipur, is one of the oldest museums in the state of Rajasthan. This museum was designed by Colonel Sir Swinton Jacob in 1876 for the purpose of greeting King Edward VII, Prince of Wales on his visit to India. After sightseeing check-in at the hotel.   • At evening if time permits visit Laximinarayan Temple.

DAY 6:  JAIPUR – BARLI (190 K.M. APPROX. 4 HRS.)
  • After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed for to the rural village of Barli with your private car and driver.  
  • The journey itself takes around four hours, as you leave the city behind and watch the scenery change into countryside.
  • On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in.
 
Day 07: BARLI VILLAGE
  • Today is free to explore at your own leisure. You may wish to take an escorted tour of the fort with the staff or discover the nearby villages by bullock cart.
  • Overnight stay at hotel.
 
 
 
Day 08: BARLI – JODHPUR (23 K.M. APPROX. 1 HRS.)
  • After breakfast check out from the hotel and leaving Barli behind proceed to Jodhpur, which is affectionately known as the Blue City.
  • Arrive On arrival, check in at hotel. Your day is at leisure to explore on your own. spend the remainder of the afternoon discovering the bazaars located around the clock tower.
  • Overnight stay at hotel.
 
 Day 09:  JODHPUR
  • After breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing tour of Jodhpur.
  • Visit the Majestic Mehrangarh Fort, sprawled across a 125 meter high hill and is the most impressive and formidable fort in the fort-studded Rajasthan.
  • Continue to Jaswant Thada a cluster of Royal cenotaphs built in 1899.
  • Overnight stay at hotel.
 
Day 10: JODHPUR – CHANOUD (123 K.M. APPROX. 3 HRS.)
  • After breakfast check out from the hotel and head three hours south today with your driver to Chanoud where the remainder of the day is at your leisure.
  • Your hosts are incredibly welcoming here, and will help you settle into the 300-year-old palace which will allow you to experience the historic side of Rajasthan.

Day 11: CHANOUD
  • Today is at your leisure to fully explore this unique corner of India. Your hosts can help plan different activities, including going to visit the nearby villages where you can meet shepherds and Rabaris or you can enjoy a drink whilst watching the sunset across the salt lake.

Day 12: CHANOUD – UDAIPUR (218 K.M. APPROX. 3.5 HRS.)
  • After breakfast check out from the hotel and Continue south today to Udaipur, en-route impressive Kumbalgarh Fort and Temple at Ranakpur. The temple is a renowned Jain temple and is certainly one of the most impressive temples to visit while in Rajasthan. This journey is a three hour drive but you may like to spend longer travelling, taking the time to walk up to Kunbhalgarh Fort.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.
 
Day 13: UDAIPUR
  • After breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing tour of Udaipur.
  • Visit the City Palace, the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. Later proceed to Jagdish Temple and the Museum; lastly visit the Sahelion Ki Bari or “Garden of the Maids of Honour”.
  • In the evening if you wish enjoy a boat ride on the picturesque Lake Pichola (on your own).
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.

     

Day 14: UDAIPUR – DELHI – DEPART
  • Leave India behind and board your onwards flight. From Udaipur you usually have to depart via Delhi or Mumbai to catch an international flight.
